SAVING GEORGE REEVES
CD POWER POINT SLIDE PRESENTATION
by Lou Koza
In 2002, I introduced SAVING GEORGE REEVES as my personal first of the kind tribute to the life of George Reeves. In 2003, I followed with SAVING GEORGE REEVES TWO. Both CD presentations consists of many photos and magazine articles collected and saved by me over the last twenty years. The narrated (text) CD is for collectors and fans wanting to learn more about George Reeves and the films he appeared in. Many of the photos and articles in their entirety are published here for the first time. Here is the an example of what you can expect to see and read:

SAVING GEORGE REEVES (the first CD presentation)

$24.00 +$2.00 shipping & handling.

1) The Theatrical Film Years: I always felt this portion of George's career gets less attention than deserved. And since the CD is mainly about George Reeves, not Superman I included a number of wonderful photos of George in The Monroe Doctrine, Lydia, Pony Express Days, The Blue Gardenia, Ride Cowboy Ride and many more.

2) The Superman Years: You'll find a number of photos never before published before from Around the World with Superman, never before seen photo test shots of George as Morly's ghost from the episode Great Caesar's Ghost and many more. Plus the best shot of Joi Lansing I've ever seen, John Doucette and the Nash Healy roadster. Also ads for George's appearance at the Moulin Rouge and the TV Radio Life (Superman over Metropolis) ad, in color.

3) Off the Set: I have included many photos of George at home working out, with friends, accepting awards, at Disneyland and more.

4) TV Fan Magazines: I have full scanned pages of "Superman in the Backyard," "Superman is Only Human," "Super Heart," "Superman is Only Human After All." These articles are really outstanding reading and showcase just what a wonderful person George Reeves was.

In all, there is over 90 narrated (text) slides with 70 images.

As a bonus, a recreation of the cover of Superman comics no.16, dated May - June 1942 by famed TV Superman artist Randy Garrett in which he uses George and Noel in place of the traditional Clark and Lois images. An outstanding addition to the presentation and wonderful tribute to a great Lois and Clark team.

SAVING GEORGE REEVES TWO

$24.00 plus $2.00 shipping & handling.

1) The Pasadena Playhouse: A wide view stage photo from Girls of the Golden West and a playbill cover for Woman Bites Dog.

2) The Theatrical Years: In the theme of the first presentation, more of George from his silver screen work, includes Gone With the Wind, So Proudly We Hail, Man at Large, Always a Bride and Winged Victory. Includes several candid moments. Within this chapter are several film magazine articles featuring George as a young rising star. You'll be surprised to learn how George was chosen to star opposite Claudette Colbert in So Proudly We Hail. During the 1943 Winged Victory stage show George was featured in a movie magazine article titled "GI Greasepaint." See where George and his wife lived in NYC during this period. Also see a photo of George from 1942 standing side by side with the future Batman of the serial movie screen.

3) Behind The Scenes With Superman: More articles and many photos published here for the first time such as TV Guide and Forecast, dated March 23, 1953, "Who Needs Flying Saucers." Once again, famed TV Superman artist Randy Garrett provides and inspires our imaginations with another amazing illustration which features Superman visiting the Mole Men two years after his first encounter.

4) Off the Set: More images at home, making peanut butter sandwiches for the neighborhood kids, enjoying the sun with Toni, backyard reading, dining with friends and more.

5) Personal Appearances: More articles which George discusses the dangerous incident in Detroit were a youngster aimed a gun at him. George also discusses his friendship with Davy Crockett actor - Icon, Fess Parker. See an image of George in Kellogg's Battle Creek, Michigan museum and much more.

6) Honest George: The People's Friend: Read articles featuring Noel Neill's Bonny Noel - 1947, Jack Larson and Phyllis Coates in the long lost "Superman's Girl Friday" - 1953. Plus a never to be forgotten photo of Joi Lansing.

7) "All We Know Is What We Read In The Papers": Nineteen LA and NY newspaper articles following the death of George Reeves. Within these articles you'll read the truth and the lies. You decide for yourself as you read the experience so many people across the country were baffled by. Also includes magazine articles "I Find The Death Of My Son Suspicious" - Dec. 1959 and "Why Is Superman's Body Being Kept on Ice In A Secret Vault?" - Jan. 1960.

8) George Reeves: Case Not Closed : My personal reaction to comparing the events surrounding the death of George Reeves with excerpts from full length interviews by Leonore Lemmon, Merrill Sparks, Jan Bliss, and many others. Also, learn who exactly Edward Bennett Williams was as told within the pages of his biography, The Man to See. Learn why the medical examiners should have been investigated by the medical board.

In all there are 150 slides to see and read.
