I'm Lois Lane. I'm a reporter on the Metropolis Daily Planet. And this is my own story. To me, it's a pretty important story.

Those lines are from the opening of "The Wedding of Superman," Noel's favorite episode from the Adventures of Superman. In it she told of Lois Lane's dream of marrying Superman while at the same time bringing a notorious criminal to justice.

I'm sure that like Lois Lane's, Noel's life has been filled with many dreams. From talking with her and from reading Larry Thomas Ward's biography, Truth, Justice, & the American Way: The Life and Times of Noel Neill, the Original Lois Lane, I get the distinct impression most of her dreams have been realized. At least I hope so.

And speaking of dreams. I know that one dream shared by all of us who watch the Adventures of Superman is to meet the lovely Miss Neill. When I was in college a group of students would often meet for lunch. On more than one occasion the conversation turned to the topic of what famous person we'd like to meet. There were many suggestions, but mine was always someone from the cast of Superman, most notably, Miss Noel Neill. Not all of my dreams have come true yet, but one did... and it happened when I walked up to Noel at the Superman Exposition in Cleveland in 1988 and introduced myself. What an absolute thrill it was to meet her for the first time. Even though many years have passed since then, I still get that same feeling today whenever our paths cross. Others too have experienced that thrill. I hope you take a few moments to read their stories.
