And now, another exciting episode in the
Adventures of Superman...

Saturday August 4, 1951 was the twelfth day of filming of the initial set of five.

Supporting Players: Helen Wallace, Jimmy Dodd, Robert Easton, and John Harmon

This Saturday, which wrapped up the first set of five episodes, tied up a few remaining loose ends. Mrs. Olsen (Helen Wallace) placed her concerned phone call to Kent, Marvin (Robert Easton) received a radio message from Horatio (who sounded just as happy as a pig in a watermelon patch) and relayed the message to Lois, and Jake (Jimmy Dodd) discussed fingerprints with Kent.

It's interesting that all of Russell's Johnson's scenes were filmed in one day, but John Harmon was scheduled for three... the last of which was today. I can't figure out why he was needed for this date. None of the other crooks worked on Saturday, yet I don't see any scenes where he appears by himself.

Again, everyone left that day looking forward to having Sunday off before returning again on Monday to begin the next set of five: The Mind Machine, No Holds Barred, The Birthday Letter, The Stolen Costume, and Mystery In Wax.

Next: Sunday August 5, 1951
