2) THE REALLY BIG NEWS IS A&E's BIOGRAPHY
The George Reeves Biography on A&E is scheduled for Wednesday, February 9.
Be sure to set your VCRs. My contact at ABC News Productions assures me this
will be a well-balanced look at his life. Many people have contributed, and
there should be a nice credit for The Adventures Continue website at the
end. Keep your fingers crossed that they don't distort the end credits to
hideously that it can't be read.

3) MICHAEL HAYDE INTERVIEW
Anyone familiar with The Adventures Continue knows Michael Hayde. Mike's
been a frequent contributor to both TAC and TAC, Jr. His article, "Superman
Comes To Television," published in TAC #14, provoked more favorable comments
than anything else ever published in TAC. Another of Michael's interests is
Dragnet. He's spent the past four years writing a book on this vintage
series. The book is completed, and Mike is currently looking for a
publisher. To learn more about both Michael and the book, please note Mike's
message below:

<<On Sunday, January 30, I'm going to be interviewed (by telephone) on a
satellite radio show that originates in Canada. It is hosted by a Canadian
police officer named Dana Pretzer, and will be carried over the Internet.
If you have a sound card and RealAudio, you'll be able to "tune in." It's a
one-hour show that begins at 10:00pm EST. The link for the site is below:

If for some reason you can't listen on Sunday, you'll be able to hear the
show anytime during that week, by clicking on the "My Last Show" link on the
site. I'm looking forward to doing this; it should be a lot of fun. I
sincerely hope you'll be listening.

4) SEEKING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Several of you have written to ask for further information regarding the
Adventures of Superman's return to television via TV LAND in the the
spring and the release of a Superman TV show music CD. Unfortunately I don't
have any new information on these two projects. If any of you do, please let
me know, and I'll pass it along in the next issue of TAC, Jr.

5) WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN "PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE?"
Tom Chenvert recently told me about a movie he watched on AMC. These are his
comments:

<<Yesterday I saw Girls in Prison on AMC. This has to be one of the worst
movies ever produced, and the only reason I watched was because Phyllis
Coates was in it. In the film, released in 1956, Phyllis plays a looney in
a cell with three other girls. Interestingly, they cally every new girl who
comes into the cell "Lois." I wonder if this was some sort of an inside
joke. Anyway, I was surprised to see Phyllis in this film, something just a
notch lower than Plan 9 From Outer Space.>>

From the following information Tom sent, I see some additional Superman
connections. In "Around the Wold With Superman," Judy Nugent plays Ann
Carson, Raymond Hatton appears in several episodes of Superman, and Edmund
Cobb is Peter Godfrey in "The Deserted Village." And maybe somebody can help
me out with one other. In "Superman: Serial to Cereal," Gary Grossman lists
Laurie Mitchell as playing Nancy Boyd in "The Man Who Made Dreams Comes
True." I thought that was Sandy Harrison. Is anyone familiar with these two
actresses?

If you see this film listed again for AMC, please let me know. I'd surely
like to watch:

6) MORE ON THE GEORGE REEVES / VIRGINIA GREY PHOTO
TAC, Jr. #37 featured a photo from Randy Garrett showing George Reeves and
Virginia Grey in Reeves' home. At the time, Randy had no additional
imformation. But now, he has this to add:

<<Just a bit of new information. I've been able to pinpoint the date and
occasion of the photo of George and Virginia Grey that you published in TAC,
Jr. #37. Chuck Harter sent me a 1954 magazine, TV Show, with an article
about Guy Madison's 32nd birthday party. Check out two of the guests. George
and Virginia are wearing the very same outfits as in the other photo. The
article states the party was at ABC studios, so George and Virginia must
have gotten together at George's house either before or after the party.
Nothing really earth shaking, I just thought it was another snapshot of
George's very private life.>>

I'm constantly amazed at the material people like Randy, Chuck, and so many
others keep finding and are willing to share with us so that these
adventures may continue.
