And now, another exciting episode in the
Adventures of Superman...

Friday August 3, 1951 was the eleventh day of filming of the initial set of five.

Supporting Players: Jack Larson, Lucien Littlefield, Dan Seymour, John Harmon, and Russell Cantor.

Work continued on "The Runaway Robot." Even though Superman put Hero out of commission on Thursday, the robot and Horatio returned on Friday to foil the jewelry store robbery. Then Lois, Clark, and Jimmy went to the jail and "bailed this monkey out." (as Chopper put it). Jimmy was told to watch Horatio... to keep him from getting lonesome... but the inventor pulled that little smoke bomb out of his pocket and got away.

I'm baffled though as to when the closing scene with Henderson was intended to be filmed. Littlefield was scheduled for Thursday and Friday, but Shayne was not on the schedule for either of those days. Nevertheless, because Kent's apartment was set up for the Horatio/Jimmy, Kent/Jimmy, and Lois scenes that take place there, it makes sense that the closing scene in Kent's apartment was also shot on Friday.

Another puzzle: That scene with Lois on the phone. She left a note for Clark... Gone out on a hot lead. See you later. Lois... but Clark never read or even found that note. Seems to have served no purpose. It would have made more sense for her to have just gone without leaving the note.
