And now, another exciting episode in the
Adventures of Superman...

September 20, 1951 – Thursday

Players:
Milton Wood – Bergere
Leonard Mudie – Leland Masters
Mabel Albertson – Kate White
Jane Adams – Bobette
Stanley Andrews – Garvin
Lou Krugman – Oliviere

Contrary to what the "Wrecker" thinks in Season 2, it seems that Superman can be in two places at the same time (or maybe he just gets around faster than most people) -- for today he was seen in Oregon and in Haiti -- and he had his hands full at both places. In Haiti, he rescued his friends from the "wine press" and freed Dr. Masters from behind the wall. Moments later he rescued Jimmy and Lois from a forest fire in Oregon.

I do have a slight problem with this, however. Everything fits as far as the actors assigned to "Drums of Death" on this day except that Henry Corden is not on the schedule; and he is surely needed there for my assessment to work. The rescue might have happened the day before, but then Albertson was not on the list. Regardless, work was done on both episodes and this scenario puts George Reeves in the uniform for the full day.

Take a look at the images of Olivere grappling with the dog/wolf. Do you think Krugman is actually doing that, or was he doubled? If it is a double, they found someone who looks very much like him. And yet, it's hard to believe Krugman would have agreed to do that scene.
