We can see white columns and railings on the corner of the building. If we walk around this corner, we will be standing in front of Geneva County Hospital where Superman faced down Luke Benson and his "Nazi storm troopers." This facade was also used as the Bayou Hotel in "The Evil Three." The front of the building and the one directly to its right come together to form a corner where Superman encountered the mole-man and their vacuum cleaner weapon.

Superman comes face to face with the molemen.

 Nobody's going to hurt you.

The molemen's weapon has no effect on the Man of Steel.

Now where'd those mole-men go?
Andy Taylor's usually there to take care of trouble, but this time he missed by about ten years.

Mayor Stoner (Parley Baer) was seated on a bench very near this exact spot in "The Mayberry Band" to watch as the band marched around the Inland Hotel/Standish Arms/Walker Pharmacy Building.

 Mayor Stoner of Mayberry.

Did you just see a strange furry creature from the center of the earth go by?

Hizzonor, the mayor of Mayberry, and Deputy Barney Fife watch as "The Mayberry Band" goes by.

Actually, the Bayou Hotel can be seen in the majority of Griffith shows because it appears as photographic backdrop outside the front of Andy Taylor's office. A few early episodes of The Andy Griffith Show used another, generic backdrop, but in most shows, when someone walked into the courthouse... right outside, plain as day, is the Bayou Hotel.

I wonder if Opie has seen George Taylor's ghost yet.
Shazam! From the courthouse in Mayberry you can see clear to South Lordsville.

And finally, in some episodes, such as "Opie the Birdman", we can see the actual Bayou in the distance from Andy's front yard.

Look behind you, Opie. That used to be a fine hotel. (In the year one, maybe.)
The Bayou Hotel/Geneva County Hospital can be seen in many Andy Griffith Show episodes.
